The Wayne County Wildcats are celebrating their first ever BlueCross Bowl Championship with a 27-14 win over defending Class 1A champions South Pittsburg. Wildcat QB Austin Rice led the way compiling over 200 yards on the ground, 214 to be exact. Their offense racked up a total of 274 total yards on the ground.

The Wildcats capped a great season (14-0) with the 1A title that will join the schools two other state championships in basketball this year and 2001.
