The 18th Annual Columbia American Legion Post 19 Independence Day Classic has another loaded field and is set to start Thursday afternoon July 4th at Columbia State and Columbia Academy running through Sunday July 7th.
The 10 team field begins play July 4th at 4:00 at both locations. Columbia Post 19 will play all of its games at CSCC’s Dave Hall Field and will have their opener against Lyon County, Kentucky (2018 Kentucky State Champions & World Series participate) at 6:30 Thursday. All Post 19 games will also be broadcasted live in 1080 HD by TennesseeSportsNet.
The field includes squads from Pontotoc Post 13, MS., Texarkana, AR., Tupelo, MS., Gonzalez, LA., Mattoon, IL., Odin, IL., Tuscaloosa, AL., Troy, AL., Pulaski, TN., and Post 19.
Columbia will also face Odin, Illinois Friday at 6:45.
Below is the schedule for Thursday-Sunday action at Columbia Academy and Columbia State Community College. Saturday’s matchups will be determined following Friday’s play.
