Columbia State Baseball Head Coach Mike Corn Has Resigned!

Columbia State Community College baseball head coach Mike Corn submitted his resignation Friday. Corn just finished his 13th year as the skipper of the Chargers and compiled a .630 win/loss record racking up 408 wins versus 257 losses.

Coach Corn was in the running for the college’s athletic director position replacing the retiring AD Johnny Littrell, but wasn’t chosen. The announcement of the new AD has not been released by the school.

Corn made the coaches and team aware of his decision on Friday.

It was reported that Corn will join the Walters State Senator baseball staff as their new Assistant Head Coach under his lifelong friend Head Coach David Shelton.

Columbia State assistants Desi Amons & Cody Crutcher will continue their position with the team. An announcement is expected soon on what direction the school will take.
