Former Columbia State Chargers Baseball Standout at Vanderbilt Medical Center Following Workplace Injury!

Bryce Giles of Summertown is in Vanderbilt Medical Center following the August 11th fire extinguisher explosion at his work place.

According to his mother Teresa, Bryce sustained serious burns to his body and also suffered the inhalation of some of the extinguisher’s chemicals that also caused damage. As of today (8/23/22) doctors have him sedated and he is fighting to get better.

Giles played centerfield as a Charger 2017-18 with a career 11 home runs and batting average of .312. He was also a member of the Tennessee Wesleyan 2019 NAIA National Champions. Please keep Bryce in your prayers. He is in room #8625 as of today and the phone number is 615-325-5000 if anyone would like to call to wish him the best.

Bryce has a long battle ahead and is in stable condition. His mom says he’s doing as well as expected and still finds time to crack a few jokes with her and his girlfriend. She said he also can have visitors at this time. We are praying hard for Bryce and hope you’ll join us, for a speedy recovery.
