
The Columbia State Lady Chargers took it to the road Wednesday for a rematch with the Indians of Itawamba. CSCC’s job was get back in the win column against the team that beat them 14 days ago 78-65 at the Webster Athletic Center.

The Lady Chargers played well in the first half as they only trailed 27-25 at halftime. (CSCC had given up 42 points in the earlier contest). Columbia State came out of the locker room hot, outscoring the Indians 25-13 in the 3rd quarter to push a lead to 10, 50-40 and the Lady Chargers never trailed again winning 66-58. Moving to 7-5 overall for the season.
Jacie Scott led the way for the Lady Chargers knocking down 24, 8/12 from the field & 4/5 from 3-land with 8 assists. Lilly Melton with a double-double pumped in 20 pts. while grabbing 12 rebounds, 5/18 from the field, 2/6 from 3-land and 8/10 at the line. Ansley Burleson added 8 crucial points. Columbia State will get back to TCCAA Region VII play next, as they travel to Dyersburg State Tuesday December 17 for a makeup game.
