TennesseeSportsNet has LIVE coverage of the 2019 defending state champion Forrest Lady Rockets beginning Tuesday May 25 at 5:30!
At this time of the year all Tennessee high school fans, parents and players pause to cherish the past year. A time we never imagined meant so much until it wasn’t there. Normalcy is a word I hear often to describe the 2021 season. We were on our way back!
Tuesday May 25th will be a day we all celebrate. We are happy the season went well and the “post-season” is the ultimate conclusion.
TennesseeSportsNet will also be in the Boro for TSSAA Class-2A softball. This season, as TSNSports has done for the past four-years, we had live HD coverage of the Lady Rockets. It been a crazy road. We’ve thought about the 2020 seniors who didn’t get the chance to defend their 2019 championship run. An opportunity to go back-to-back! This year’s seniors were there in 2019 and they want to complete 2021 with a delayed back-to-back championship.
This years’ bracket is loaded with very talented players on very familiar teams. Four teams from 2019 will be there this year. They include Sequatchie County, Gibbs, Lexington and Forrest. Forrest went unbeaten in their 4-0 run and defeated Lexington 3-1 in the title game 2 years ago.
The other teams in this years tournament are Covington, Red Bank, Union County and Greenbrier. All 8 schools are also ranked in MaxPreps’ Top 20 AA Tennessee Poll.
Greenbrier is 15th, Union County 12th, Red Bank 9th, Gibbs 8th, Sequatchie County 7th, Covington 5th, Lexington 3rd and Forrest in 2nd behind the number one team South Gibson.
TennesseeSportsNet.Com’s live game coverage will begin Tuesday at approximately 5:10 for a 5:30 first pitch of Forrest and Covington. That will be the case as long as the preceding game ends on time.
