The 2021 Tennessee High School Softball all-stars for the East, Middle and West were announced today. The teams will play games at Riverdale High School’s newly renovated softball complex. The artificial turf field was finished in 2020. It should be a fun outing for the high school players from all across the state. The games will be Thursday June 17th. First game will begin at 10am. The game will be played at Riverdale High School on Thursday, June 17th. They have a facility to allow the players to warm up. No cleats allowed in the facility. We recommend turf or tennis shoes on the field but only require it for the pitcher. The schedule of events is the following:
8:45 A.M. The East and Middle Tennessee Players Arrive at the field. Middle Tennessee will be on the 3rd base side and the East All Stars will be on the 1st base side. Meet your coaches and other members of your team. Players who have hit 10 or more home runs during the regular season can sign up during this time, to enter the Home run contest. Someone will come by to sign you up. We can only take the top 5 players from each team to compete. Please warm-up and be ready for introductions at 9:45. 10:00 A.M.First game between the Middle and East All-Stars begins. The game will be 1:45 minutes and finish the inning. The West players should be on the 3rd base line at 10:00 A.M. to sign in and begin warming up for their game. We will have someone come to the West All-Stars to sign players up for the Home run contest. We can only take the top 5 players from each team to compete.12:00 A.M. Home run hitting contest begins. Each player who has signed up will be given 10 pitches to hit. Home runs do not count as a pitch if the ball is hit over the fence. Foul ball, pop ups and a miss do count toward your swings. The players with the most home runs will be declared the winner. If we have a tie, we will have a 5-pitch hit off to determine the winner.12:30-2:30 P.M. The West and East will play for 1 hour and 45 minutes finish the inning.1:00 P.M. All players who are not playing in the All-Star Games need to check in at the ticket booth and let the representative at the front gate know that you have arrived. This will include All State for all Divisions, Miss Softball for all Divisions. 2:30 P.M. We will introduce the All State and Miss Softball winners at this time. We ask the parents if they would like to come on the field, please feel free to come and take pictures any time the players are being introduced or honored. We also would like to invite your high school coaches to come and have their pictures made with you as well as family members. 3:00 P.M. The Middle and West Tennessee All-stars will play. We ask that the Middle All-Stars go to the 1st base side at 2:00 to warm-up for their game. Also, check back in with your coaches.4:40 P.M. or 10 minutes after the last game we will announce the players who will be representing the Tennessee All Stars against the Kentucky All-Stars on Wednesday June 30th at Warren South High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The players chosen will be given instructions on the event at this time. The price of admission is $5.00 per person and all players are free. As you enter the entrance, please make sure you have your name checked off at the front gate. Children under 6 are free. We will have tee shirts for sale for $15.00 if you would like to purchase one. We will only have a limited amount for sale.
