TennesseeSportsNet IS happy to announce we are 15-years old this year. Back in April of 2006 I started TSN with a vision of streaming lots of youth sports in Maury and surrounding counties, something “nobody” was doing.
Our mission was to broadcast games that had “no” coverage. That means, basically, back in 2006, they had no radio station broadcasting their games. Since then TSN has had “live” top quality coverage of 1,000’s of youth, high school and college athletes.
Since 2006 it has been a struggle. We were really before our time. Not many people were on the internet doing what I had stepped in to. Of course back then audio was the selection. Video had not been perfected yet, but was being designed. We knew about the, then video format, but it wasn’t really reliable, it was just a matter of time.
In saying I was really in a medium that was before its time in 2006. And selling ads was excruciating. Business owners didn’t know much about the format, so they were very reluctant to spend their hard-earned-money to sponsor sports on the web. BUT we kept moving on! And I’m so glad I didn’t give up.
As years went by TSN moved more into covering Columbia State Community College (CSCC) sports. As well as a selected few high school and even Little League, Babe Ruth and Cal Ripken sports. We, of course begin with HD AUDIO broadcasts and gradually moved toward HDTV. A very expensive move. A move we had to make. TSN wanted to have quality as good as ESPN online. And for the past few years TSN IS THERE! We have several expensive HD video cameras, wireless video transmitter/receiver units and audio mic headsets. Mics for crowd noise and on-screen scoreboard software that has the “TV NETWORK” feel.
For the past 15 years TSN has been a part of high school state tournament play and championships. We traveled with the Columbia American Little League team to the LL SE Regionals in St. Petersburg, Florida. Where LL Headquarters charged TSN $100.00/game to broadcast their games in audio on the web. We covered Spring Hill High School and Columbia Academy before anyone.
In our 15 years TSN can say we have covered practically every high school in southern middle Tennessee. And as we all fight through a pandemic TSN continues to cover sports in 1080HD LIVE HDTV. We will begin our 5th year at Forrest High School in Chapel Hill. And in 2021 we will continue our partnership with Columbia State Community College, where TSN just finished a crazy late 2020 season earlier this year. WE HAD OVER 60,000 VIEWERS for all games broadcasted at CSCC.
We want to say a big thank you to all of our advertising partners and to those, which totals over 1-MILLION FANS, who have clicked on to listen and now watch our live online HDTV broadcasts.
TSN IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS AND WE’RE LOOKING FOWARD TO THE FUTURE, NO MATTER HOW MUCH LONGER WE HAVE ON THIS EARTH.
