Columbia State Community College Friday announced the naming of former CSCC player and 6 year assistant to former Head Coach Mike Corn, Desi Ammons as their new head baseball coach. Athletic Director Katie Willingham was joined by CSCC President Dr. Janet F. Smith and vice-president Cissy Holt in making the announcement.
Desi Ammons is a Hohenwald native and former baseball standout on the 2012-2014 team. He was a big part of the 2014 squad that won the TCCAA Region 7 Championship and the NJCAA East-Central District series advancing to the NJCAA 2014 World Series. He continued his baseball career at Belmont University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science.
