CSCC Chargers Baseball Squad Will Be Tested Tuesday!

The Chargers will have to forget about the Volunteer State sweep over the weekend because it doesn’t get any easier. C-State will host the eighth-ranked Warriors of WaBash Valley College of Mt.Carmel, Illinois. The Warriors will come into the Tuesday 2PM 9-inning game with a record of 13-2, and a win over TCCAA foe Volunteer State 9-1 on Feb.13th. The Chargers and Warriors have had at least a game each year for the past 4 years. CSCC lost 2 in 2017 8-2 and 11-0. The teams split in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

The WaBash Valley College Baseball team has received a lot of preseason accolades this year.  “The 2018 Warriors has recieved great recognition in collegiate baseball preseason polls all across the country! The Warriors come in at 8th in the NJCAA’s D1 polls that feature a slew of 2017 World Series participants. The Collegiate ranks have been coming out all across the nation as well and the Warriors reign in a pair of top 20 rankings (NJCAA-#8, Collegiate Baseball News-#7), two more top 15 rankings (JUCO Blog-#13, Baseball America-#20) and a host of others around the Junior College baseball media.”

All the action gets underway Tuesday March 6th, 2PM at CSCC’s Dave Hall Field. You can watch for FREE on TennesseeSportsNet.com. Just click on the “Columbia State Charger Baseball” page. Our broadcast begins at 1:45pm.
